Displaying photos
I’d really like your input on something. I want to post more pictures. There are several ways to do this. I just installed a new way. Check out the test gallery. What do you think of it? Would you please either email me or leave a comment and tell me what you like or don’t like about it?
How about this one? Do you prefer that style?
I’m not talking about the pictures themselves but the way they are presented.
I’d love your feedback. Thanks!

Tough choice! I like the integration of the first one, but I think in the end #2 is less confusing. However, I do wish there were captions rather than just photos - captions under the thumbnails, I mean.
I use Gallery 2 and love it. There’s so much you can do with it!

I like the way #1 matches the rest of your blog, but it took MUCH longer to load than the second one did.

Thanks for the feedback Jim & Amanda. I’ve been looking around for something that is easy and adapts to whatever theme I’m using. I want it to look the same as the rest of the website - even after a theme change. Oh, and it needs to be simple and easy!
The second example in the post is using Gallery2. It is very powerful but I have been frustrated with it due to its complexity.

Oh yeah, the much longer load time is definitely related to file sizes. I just quickly grabbed a few recent pics for the flash based album. If I did some resizing I think it would load a lot faster

It’s tough to say. Gallery2 is more intuitive, but the nextgen plugin is more pleasing to the eye.

Good Morning…I loved both of them so would be difficult to choose. I didn’t mind the slower loading at all. Your choice of pic taking is really great and gives me pleasure to know you are in such a beautiful part of God’s creation. .

I like the second one. I can’t tell you why. I would if I knew, I just don’t know. (I’ll bet THAT helps!)

I had no problem loading either one so speed was not an issue for me. #1 had a slideshow option that I didn’t see on #2. #2 seems disconnected from your blog/website.
And I agree with Jim about captions.
No matter how you post, we just love to see your pictures!
